Makola Market:
A must visit place, keep all your valuables and especially the camera at home because Makola market is a real fantastic place full of female shopkeepers (this is the reason we advised to leave your camera at your hotel), you will see the women with colorful dresses and chanting with they have to  sell. This place has some humor in it because of the indefinable vocal style of selling the goods. Whatever item you think can be bought or sold, you will find that at Makola market and that is the reason why most of the people shop at makola, you will find some of your country mates too at Makola market as it’s an optimum choice of most of the foreigners. So do bring up some cash and enjoy shopping at Makola market. You will find many tro-tros taking you to/from central Accra/usher town to Makola market.

Labadi Beach:

The most popular beach of Accra is Labadi beach, you can use the tro tro service to reach Labadi beach. The beach will turn your mood on with cool breezes, beautiful view of waves, acrobatic tricks by little boys on the beach, horse riding, and rasta groups. Not only this, the food stalls will make your mouth watering with their delicious fried fish, spicy jollof, and a chilled Star lager. You can settle down at beach to spend your next 3 to 4 hours full of fun and relaxation i.e. a true joy of your vacations. On weekends the beaches are usually crowded and can get rowdy so enjoying during day time during working days is more advisable, but you can surely go to luxurious resorts near to beach to have the same joy on weekend but without getting into uncomfortable situation. If you are a music lover than Next Door Beach is an ultimate choice for you.

Things to consider before going to Lagos

Lagos is the greatest and most developed state of Africa, being the capital of the most populous country of Africa; Lagos has a great importance in African region. Despite of not being a safe and popular state for tourists, Lagos has some real uncovered adventure and fun. The land of Nigeria is blessed with some great natural resources and beauty
Though the security is always a concern in most of the African region but if you are a travel geek and want to know the hidden chronicles of this African region than you better start looking for the cheap flights to Lagos now.
But before you get onto the streets of Lagos, here is a security checklist you need to consider before booking your ticket to Lagos.
Walking Around Town:
Though it’s quite secure to move in crowded areas and streets during day time because chances of getting robbed are quite low during day time and crowded places, but beware of the pickpockets around you and it would be better to leave your bags or camera at home, otherwise you will be the easy target for the pickpockets in such crowded area and it would impossible to identify where your stuff went and you can be in all sort of trouble by losing any important documents or item.
Avoid Travelling At Night:
Though you may feel safe to travel during day time but night at Lagos has a very different story. You will find the boys on bikes hanging around under flyovers, bridges, streets etc ready to mingle with you. You may feel insecure as would be not that much crowd and lights to make you feel comfortable.  You can easily lose everything you have with you and there would be no way to get them back. It’s better to have food at your home as you won’t find too many food stalls opened at night. So make sure to have sufficient food, windows and doors locked. The safest option is to stay at home and avoid travelling during night time.
Taking Pictures:
Though it’s quite obvious that being a tourist you would definitely want to take back the memories of your trip to home but photography is not that easy in this part of world. Other than the chances of losing your costly camera, you might get into some legal trouble for taking snaps of official buildings. The local people may not like you taking their pictures and that create serious problems for you. Beware to not show your camera in downtown area i.e. Tinubu Square area, else the chances of losing your camera are as high as the skies due to the local boys out there, they can even harm you physically so it’s better to avoid taking pictures in such areas.

We have some more tips and security checklist for you in our upcoming posts so stay connected to get more on how you can make your trip to Lagos safe and yet enjoyable.
